Start making an impact

As an Investment Analyst, you play a crucial role in identifying and evaluating promising investment opportunities within the key technology sector. You will work closely with our experienced team of investment managers and have the opportunity to be involved in the entire investment process, from due diligence to supporting portfolio companies.

• You will contribute to the growth of promising, innovative ventures in Brabant with innovative technologies ;

• As the first point of contact for your sector team, you point entrepreneurs in the right direction;

• You identify and map promising innovations, (business) opportunities and risks, and conduct thorough research. This includes tech and market analyses, business studies, valuations, due diligence and assessment of investment applications;

• An analyst plays an important role in the entire investment process: from writing investment proposals, building financial models to making joint investment decisions;

• You cooperate with Venture Developers and the Investment Managers in deal sourcing, management and exits of participations and portfolio companies;

• You attend (international) events and are in contact with other VCs and investors for the purpose of knowledge building and maintaining the network to support current and potential portfolio companies;

• Finally, as an analyst, you will support the team across the board.

You start in this team

You are part of the Key Technologies team, consisting of 10 colleagues. A team built on trust, humility, a drive to win, and a good dose of Brabant humor. Together with an analyst, an associate, several investment managers, and venture developers, you support the development of and investments in companies within this broad and vibrant sector. Companies in this segment are active in fields such as photonics, semiconductors, AI, and cybersecurity. You collaborate with other investment teams and contribute to thematic teams in which other disciplines of the BOM also play a role.

Before you start

You are curious, take initiative, and are a true team player. You describe yourself as flexible and intrinsically motivated to contribute to societal transitions. You are also result-oriented and keep the interests of the relevant stakeholders in mind.

You have 0-3 years of work experience (financial affinity is a significant plus), and if you possess some or all of the skills listed below, we are looking for you.

• You have a university degree in a technical field (e.g. Physics).

• You are capable of analyzing and interpreting complex technical data and don’t shy away from developing the same skill in finance (or already have this competence).

• You can clearly and convincingly present your findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Full English professional proficiency is required, Dutch comes recommended.

• You have a hands-on mentality and are able to work independently and take initiatives.
